A Titus 2 Collective

Pull up a chair.

Wives in Prayer is a place for wives to learn to pray Scripture itself over their husbands and marriages alongside older women who've already walked the road.

Inaugural group now forming. Christ-following wives welcome from anywhere in the world.

What is Wives in Prayer?

Older women teaching younger women. That's the whole model.

Wives in Prayer is built on the pattern in Titus 2:3-5, where older women are called to train younger women. We've taken that pattern and given it one specific focus: praying Scripturally over our husbands and our marriages. Not studying prayer. Praying. Out loud, together, week after week, alongside women who will encourage you and keep you in it.

Which means the question underneath everything we do here isn't "What am I supposed to do?" It's "Who am I called to be?" No matter what season your marriage is in. No matter how you got here. No matter where your husband is with the Lord.

That question doesn't get answered by personal experience or personal preference. It gets answered by Scripture. So Scripture is what we hand you, and Scripture is what we teach you to pray.

How it Works

You'll be seated at a Table.

Your Table

A small group of women, led by two older women, with one leading and one preparing to lead her own Table as we grow.

Weekly, on your time

Your Table stays connected through Marco Polo or Voxer. Send updates and prayers whenever your day allows. Nobody has to be online at the same time.

Monthly, live

One live video call with your Table, and one with the whole Collective. Collective calls include teaching you won't want to miss, so they are recorded in case life happens.

Two-by-two

Everyone comes with someone. Leaders lead in pairs. And when you join, you'll bring a friend. That's your first job here.

Bring a Friend

Don't come alone.

We ask every woman who joins to bring a friend. Not as a nice extra. It's how this whole thing is built, from the leaders on down.

Ask someone who's walking this road of faith and marriage alongside you. And she doesn't have to be local. Because of how the Collective is built, wives can join from anywhere in the world, so think beyond your zip code. A friend from college. A sister-in-law across the country. Someone you met on a mission trip years ago.

What This Isn't

A few things worth saying plainly.

This isn't a formula.

Praying earnestly and specifically for your husband is not an inoculation against hardship. You don't get a free pass because you did the holy thing. Big challenges will come, and the time to prepare for them is before you're in one.

This isn't a place to fix your husband.

Praying Scripture keeps your prayers aligned with what's actually good for him, not just what you want in the moment. It holds you to his good, not only your comfort.

This isn't evangelism.

Wives in Prayer is a discipleship space for women who have already placed their faith in Jesus Christ. All wives are welcome regardless of where their husbands stand. But the women around the Table are here to grow deeper, not to explore faith for the first time. If someone in your life is still in that place, we'd genuinely love to help you think through that conversation. Just ask.

And you don't need to have arrived.

If you don't pray for your husband as consistently or intentionally as you wish you did, that's not a disqualification. That's the reason to pull up a chair.

Meet the Founders Liz & Michelle

We've been friends a long time.

That's all you're getting. ;-)

We won't say how many years. We're older women now, and we've earned a little mystery.

What we'll tell you is this. We've gone to the same church, though we don't anymore. We've lived hours apart, and now we live less than a mile from each other. Somewhere in the middle of all that, we hit a season where we genuinely did not know how to pray, so we picked up a copy of What Happens When Women Pray, worked through it together, and started a little prayer group we called One Accord.

Later, when Liz was still the younger woman in the room, she launched an Older Women Teaching Younger Women group at our church. Both of us grew more in that room than we knew how to measure at the time.

So this isn't a new idea for us. It's the thing we needed most when we were younger wives, and someone older sat down and gave it to us. Now it's our turn to pass it on.

Liz is married to Kenny 25 years. They have two sons and a daughter.
Michelle is married to Ron 29 years. They have two daughters.

We're not prayer experts.

That's part of why praying Scripture helps so much. It means you're never depending on your own eloquence.

FAQs

Questions and Obstacles

You've got questions. We've got answers.

What if my husband isn't a believer?

You're welcome here. This group is open to all Christ-following wives, regardless of where their husbands stand with the Lord.

What if nothing changes?

That question deserves an honest answer, and it's one your Table will walk through with you rather than around. What we can tell you is that Scripture doesn't just shape what you ask for — it shapes you as you ask. Pray Scripturally over your husband every day for a week and see what happens, not only in him, but in you.

I don't have time.

The weekly touchpoint is asynchronous by design. You participate when you can. The only fixed commitments are two video calls a month, and both are recorded.

I always start strong and tucker out halfway.

That's what the Table is for. You bring what God shows you back to your group, and the Collective carries you when your own words run dry.

Do I have to know what Scripture to pray?

No. That's what we teach. There's a short teaching video and a companion guide waiting for you inside. Some passages are already written as prayers. You just swap in your husband's name and pray them straight over him.

Is this like the movie War Room?

Not quite. No prayer closet required (though feel free to make it your own). And the kingdom of darkness isn't deaf; there's no need to shout. ;-) The Holy Spirit dwells in us, which means He's with us everywhere we go.

You're not praying for your husband alone.

James 5:16 tells us the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. You don't need eloquence, and you don't need it all figured out. You need Scripture open in front of you and your husband's name in your heart, and women around you who'll pray it with you.

This is the very beginning. Come be part of the Collective.

We'll see you at the Table. Michelle & Liz
